what? No, seriously, what? I log on for a second and get hit in the face with this?! I am not looking forward to this thing, I have the feeling it’s going to have the power to make me irate even from the safe distance of the other side of the Atlantic.

Been chatting about this all morning. Can’t get my head around it. Is it cynical to assume they don’t want male on male chemistry? It is isn’t it? :/

It might be, but I thought this too. I’m no expert, but I think most American stations (apart from like, HBO) would want to avoid homoeroticism, and this neatly sidesteps the whole thing…

I’m thinking the same thing - this could be a neat way to have there be blatant sexual tension (or more!) between Watson and Holmes, without having to stray into that icky territory of homosexuality.
